Holiday on the Farm: a Combination of Tradition and Hospitality

From winter 2019, the brand new Agritourism Alpinus has become a constituent part of the small family farm offering a secluded stay in a sunny and panoramic position of the beautiful Val Badia. The farm has been run by the Ploner family for generations and since 2017 Stephan (a member of the Ploner family) and his wife Julia have taken over its reins. Besides being a collaborator of the Institut Ladin Micurá de Rü, Stephan has been director of the band of La Valle for years and you will see him often busy working on the farm. Julia, on the other hand, has a past in the hospitality industry and every day does her best in order to make guests feel at home. During your holidays on the farm in San Martino in Badia you will also get to know Mattia and Samuel who cultivates a great passion for music and animals.

Quality Products from the Farm

The products of our farm are real temptations to savor during your stay in San Martin or to take home. During the summer we devote ourselves to the collection of red currant, blackcurrant, elderflowers, strawberries and raspberries that become the main ingredients for fruit jams and syrups. Crispy vegetables, fresh salads, and fragrant herbs come from our family's vegetable garden, while rearing animals affords us the pleasure of enjoying speck, milk, and eggs of our production. The best way to enjoy the freshness of our products is to request our basket for breakfast.

The Simple Life

Participate in Life on the Farm

The farm 'Lüch de Bostian' is a small family farm, which has meadows and woods in the locality of Ju and around San Martin de Tor. On the farm we breed cows grazed on alpine meadows, hens raised outside, while our rabbits are a great addition for children. We are very pleased to let our guests get involved with our agricultural activities on the farm and give them the opportunity to participate actively in the daily work of the farmer. One can look after the animals, lend a helping hand with the work in the barn or help with the harvesting of the hay.

Our Hut on the Meadows of Rit

The meadows of Rit spread just above the village of La Val, in the Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park and on the slopes of Mount Pares. A place of calm and unspoiled nature where we are pleased to welcome our guests in our alpine hut. Enjoy a barbecue or relax on the grass admiring the flight of the alpine choughs, while admiring the peculiar crest of the 'Piz das Nü' e and the renowned Sas dla Crusc, which of course will take your breath away. The hut can be reached with a splendid 2.5-hour panoramic walk, starting from the Alpinus farm.
